Prophecies in the Old and New Testament
regarding the advent of Prophet Muhammad

The Seal of the Prophets

The Text of the Good Tidings:
In Dawud’s Psalms, we read:
117 Catholics, 118 Protestants /22 The stone which the builders refused [in the Catholics’ translation “rejected"] is become the head stone of the corner.

118/23 This is the LORD’s doing; it is marvellous in our eyes. And in Matthew 21/42, Mark 12/10-11, and Luke 20/17: Jesus saith unto them, Did ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner; this is the LORD’S doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes?

Matthew 21/43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. Matthews 21/44 and Luke 20/18: And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

Explanation and Analysis of the Good Tidings:
Christians claim that what is meant by the stone is Almasih, peace be upon him, son of Maryam, peace be upon her, and claim that what is meant by the kingdom is the way of redemption and salvation for which Almasih, peace be upon him, was sent. But what surprise is it in the eyes of Jews if Almasih, peace be upon him, was the one meant? They think that he is from the offspring of Dawud, peace be upon him, and that Dawud, peace be upon him, greatly exalts him in his Psalms, or even believes in his being a god, as they claim. Then what is the source of surprise? Apart from the children of Isma‘il, peace be upon him, they were greatly despised by the Jews, because they are the children of the bondwoman Hajar, peace be upon her. If one of them becomes the head stone of the corner, this would be very strange in their eyes. This is supported by what is mentioned in the Catholics’ translation “The stone which the builders rejected. "Moreover, Almasih himself reminded the Jews of what is said in Dawud’s Psalms and clarified the matter to them saying, “Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom shall be taken from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof." The addressees here are Banu Isra’il. Then what is this other nation?

Allah took the Kingdom from Bani Isra’il after the mission of Almasih, peace be upon him, ', and gave it to the offspring of Isma‘il who were despised in the eyes of the Jews. He selected Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, from among them and sent him to all people. He led the world to guidance and his deeds became fruitful, as a means of fulfilling the blessing promised to Isma‘il, and of suppressing the killers of prophets.

Abu Hurayrah relates: Allah’s Apostle said, “My similitude in comparison with the other prophets before me is that of a man who has constructed a house nicely and beautifully, except for a place of one brick in a corner. The people go about it and admire its beauty, but say: “would that this brick be put in its place!’ So I am that brick, and I am the last of the prophets." Related by Al-Bukhari and Muslim.

The ‘stone’ refers to Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, and the ‘nation’ is his nation. Otherwise, what is the nation to which Allah’s Kingdom was given after being taken from Bani Isra’il?

An evidence for this is that Yahya (John) and Alrmasih, peace be upon them, bore good tidings of the Kingdom of the Heavens or the kingdom of God being at hand.

Matthew 3/1-2 reads: In those days came John the Baptist, preaching in the wilderness of Judaea, And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

4/12: Now when Jesus had heard that John was cast into prison, he departed into Galilee;

4/17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

Almasih, peace be upon him, gave good tidings using the same words John, peace be upon him, used. If Almasih, peace be upon him, were intended by the stone which the builders refused, and if the kingdom referred to the way of salvation he brought, he would not have used the same words John used. From this we know that the kingdom did not exist at the time of John or at the time of Almasih, peace be upon him, because both were given good tidings about it and told about its merit. Added to this is the fact that Almasih, peace be upon him, requested his disciples to go and give good tidings of the coming soon of the kingdom, and taught them to invoke for its advent.

In Matthew 10/7 we read the following: “And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand."

And in Matthew 6/9 and Luke 11/2 we find: “After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name, Thy kingdom come."

Christians are still saying this invocation, especially before meals. What, then, is that kingdom they are still asking for? And what is the nation to which it is given after being taken away from Bani Isra’il?

There is no doubt that the one intended by the stone is Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, , whom Allah has made the Seal of the prophets, nor is there any doubt that what is meant by the ‘kingdom’ is the Message with which he was sent. The other nation to whom the kingdom was given is his nation. Its deeds have become fruitful, especially in the early centuries A.H. This cannot be denied except by self-deceivers

In Matthew and Luke, whoever falls on this stone will be broken, and whomever the stone falls on will be ground into powder. This proves that the one meant by the good tidings is ordered to strive in the way of Allah. This does not apply to Almasih, peace be upon him, at all because he did not strive, but was deemed a weakling who hid from his enemies.

Christians claim that he was killed and crucified. It was he then that was broken, destroyed, and ground to powder according to their belief. Then how come that the text applies to him?

The actual fact is that this applies to no one but Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, and his nation, since he was the prophet of mercy and battle, who strove and was commanded to legalize strife for his nation. Whoever impartially contemplates the Sirah (Biography) of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and that of his guided successors after his death, will be convinced that these facts are absolutely true.
